Medicine to Digital Empowerment
At 72, Dr. Nirmala Agarwal continues to break boundaries—this time in the digital world. A proud student of the ’30 Days Digital Marketing Challenge in Hindi’ by Sandeep Bansali, she is embracing digital tools to reach and uplift communities close to her heart.
She is currently spearheading three heartfelt initiatives:
- Digital Gyaan – An offline digital marketing training program for underprivileged women, empowering them to:
- Gain financial independence
- Start and run businesses from home
- Build self-confidence
- Dream of and work toward owning a home
- Digital Kisaan – A movement to digitize traditional produce markets in Jharkhand, starting from one village and aiming to eventually transform the entire state.
- Online Gynecology Practice Expansion – Even in retirement, her fully online consultation model continues to thrive, and she now aims to scale it further to reach underserved women globally.

A Vision for Wholeness
Dr. Agarwal is also a poet, storyteller, and spiritual seeker, passionate about healing in all forms—physical, emotional, and digital. An IBM Thomas J. Watson International Scholar, she believes in lifelong learning, and her latest endeavor is to blend her medical wisdom with digital power to spark change at the grassroots level.
She has also created a blueprint for the “ideal home”—a symbol of self-worth, security, and empowerment—which she hopes every student in her Digital Gyaan program will aspire to.
